What Frost Byte collects

Frost Byte collects the information you intentionally send through the project enquiry form so the studio can respond to your request. The form is processed through the website’s hosting provider and is protected by automated spam detection.

With your permission, Google Analytics also collects limited website-usage information such as page views, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source, engagement time, scrolling and navigation between pages.

Form measurement

Analytics records when somebody begins interacting with the contact form and records a lead only after the website confirms a successful submission. Frost Byte does not send your name, email address, selected services or project message to Google Analytics.

Why the data is used

Usage data helps Frost Byte understand which pages attract visitors, how people discover the website, how long they engage, whether they return and how often visits result in genuine project enquiries. Search Console data is linked to Analytics to connect organic search visibility with on-site engagement.

Your choice

Google Analytics does not load and no analytics information is sent until you choose Accept. Choosing Deny leaves the website fully usable. Advertising storage and personalised advertising remain disabled regardless of your choice.

Frost Byte stores your choice and the date of that choice in your browser so it can be respected on later visits. You can change your decision at any time. If you withdraw permission, Frost Byte disables Analytics, removes its first-party analytics cookies from this website and reloads the page without the Google tag.

Retention and service providers

Event-level Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months so longer-term engagement and retention can be compared. Aggregated reporting may remain available for longer. Google Analytics and Google Search Console are operated by Google, which may process limited usage information in countries outside South Africa under its data-protection terms. The contact form and website are hosted by Netlify.
