When your website will be ready

Every Frost Byte website is designed and developed around the client’s business, selected subscription tier and chosen add-ons.

The timelines on this page are general estimates. A specific project timeline may be supplied after Frost Byte has reviewed your requirements.

An exact deadline only applies where it has been accepted in writing.

1. When the project timeline begins

Your estimated project timeline begins after Frost Byte has received everything reasonably required to start.

This may include:

Missing information

  • A completed project brief
  • Your selected subscription tier
  • Your selected add-ons
  • Written website content
  • Logos and brand guidelines
  • Images and videos
  • Product or service information
  • Domain access
  • Platform access
  • Required login details
  • A clear primary contact person
  • Any other information required for the project

Missing information may prevent work from beginning or delay the estimated completion date.

2. Initial project setup

After the required information has been received, Frost Byte will:

  • Review your project brief
  • Confirm the scope
  • Confirm the selected tier and add-ons
  • Identify missing information
  • Establish the initial project direction
  • Prepare the project for design and development
Estimated time
approximately 1–2 business days.

3. Initial design direction

Frost Byte will develop an initial visual direction based on your brief, brand and business goals.

This stage may include:

Estimated time

  • Page structure
  • Layout direction
  • Typography
  • Colour use
  • Visual styling
  • Key interface elements
  • Initial custom imagery
  • A homepage or primary-page concept
Estimated time
approximately 3–7 business days.

The timing depends on the size and complexity of the project.

4. Standard landing-page website

A focused landing-page website will generally include one primary page with multiple sections.

This may include:

Estimated time

  • Hero section
  • Services
  • About information
  • Calls to action
  • Contact information
  • Forms
  • Responsive layouts
  • Basic integrations
Estimated time
approximately 1–2 weeks after all required content and access have been received.

5. Standard multi-page website

A standard multi-page website may include:

  • Homepage
  • About page
  • Services pages
  • Contact page
  • Project or portfolio pages
  • Additional informational pages
  • Responsive layouts
  • Standard forms and integrations

Estimated time

Estimated time
approximately 2–4 weeks.

The final timeline depends on the number of pages, content readiness and revision requirements.

6. CMS, e-commerce and integration-heavy websites

Projects involving advanced functionality may require additional planning, development and testing.

This may include:

Estimated time

  • Content-management systems
  • Blogs
  • Project archives
  • Product catalogues
  • E-commerce
  • Customer accounts
  • Payment processing
  • Booking systems
  • Custom forms
  • External APIs
  • Advanced integrations
  • Large amounts of content
Estimated time
approximately 3–6 weeks.

Very large product catalogues, complex integrations or custom business systems may require a longer custom timeline.

7. 3D and interactive projects

Projects involving 3D assets, advanced animation or interactive experiences require a custom timeline.

This may include:

  • Custom 3D modelling
  • Materials and texturing
  • Product rendering
  • Interactive 3D scenes
  • WebGL experiences
  • Custom animation
  • Advanced visual effects
  • Interactive product presentations

What affects the estimate

The timeline will depend on:

  • Asset complexity
  • Required realism
  • Interaction requirements
  • Optimisation
  • Device support
  • Revision requirements

A project-specific estimate will be supplied after the requirements have been reviewed.

8. Revisions

Frost Byte will provide revision opportunities according to the selected tier or proposal.

Estimated time per consolidated revision round
approximately 2–5 business days.

A revision round begins once Frost Byte receives one clear, consolidated set of feedback.

When revisions take longer

The timeline may increase where feedback is:

  • Submitted in separate messages
  • Contradictory
  • Incomplete
  • Significantly different from the original brief
  • Received from multiple decision-makers without consolidation

Major changes in direction may require a revised timeline.

9. Client feedback

Timely feedback is necessary to keep the project moving.

Clients should:

Pauses and rescheduling

  • Review work carefully
  • Collect feedback from relevant decision-makers
  • Submit one consolidated response
  • Clearly identify required changes
  • Respond within the agreed review period

The project timeline may be paused while Frost Byte waits for feedback, content or approval.

A delayed response will move the estimated delivery date by at least the length of the delay and may require the project to be rescheduled around existing work.

10. Additional requests

New requests may affect the project timeline.

Examples include:

Effects on price and timing

  • Additional pages
  • New website sections
  • Additional design directions
  • New integrations
  • E-commerce functionality
  • CMS functionality
  • Custom animation
  • New 3D assets
  • Significant content changes
  • Additional revision rounds
  • A change in business direction

Frost Byte will explain any material effect on price or timing before beginning additional paid work.

11. Third-party delays

Some parts of a website project depend on external providers.

Delays may be caused by:

How delays are handled

  • Domain transfers
  • DNS changes
  • Hosting incidents
  • Email-domain verification
  • Payment-provider approval
  • External API access
  • Platform account approval
  • Third-party service outages
  • Changes to external software
  • Client-controlled accounts

Frost Byte will communicate known delays but cannot guarantee processing times controlled by another provider.

12. Testing

Before launch, Frost Byte will test the website within the agreed scope.

Testing may include:

Testing limits

  • Desktop layouts
  • Tablet layouts
  • Mobile layouts
  • Navigation
  • Forms
  • Links
  • Basic browser compatibility
  • Content display
  • Agreed integrations
  • Performance checks
  • Basic accessibility checks

Testing does not guarantee that every third-party browser, device, extension or service will behave identically.

13. Final review

When the website is ready, Frost Byte will provide a staging or preview link for final review.

You will be asked to:

What to review

  • Review the website
  • Check the content
  • Test important functionality
  • Confirm contact details
  • Confirm prices and product information
  • Submit final corrections
  • Approve the website for launch

The website will not normally be launched until approval has been received.

14. Approval

Approval may be provided by:

  • Email
  • Written message
  • Customer portal
  • Online approval action
  • An instruction to publish the website

What approval means

By approving the website, you confirm that you have reviewed the current version and consider it ready to launch.

An instruction to launch may be treated as final approval of the current version.

Minor corrections within the agreed scope may still be handled after launch.

15. First subscription payment

Frost Byte does not normally charge an upfront website design or development fee.

The first monthly subscription payment becomes due when:

When payments begin

  • The website has reached the agreed completed stage
  • You have approved the website or instructed Frost Byte to launch it
  • The website is ready to go live

The first payment must normally be completed before the website is publicly launched.

The monthly subscription will then renew automatically until cancelled.

16. Website launch

After approval and successful payment, Frost Byte will prepare the website for launch.

This may include:

Launch timing

  • Connecting the domain
  • Updating DNS settings
  • Publishing the production website
  • Confirming forms and integrations
  • Completing final checks
  • Activating hosting
  • Confirming successful launch
Estimated time
approximately 1–3 business days after final approval, successful payment and confirmed domain access.

DNS changes and third-party systems may require additional processing time.

17. How the website is delivered

A website or digital project may be delivered through:

  • A staging link
  • A preview link
  • A live website URL
  • Access to a CMS
  • Access to an agreed dashboard
  • An email confirming completion
  • A file transfer
  • A repository handover where expressly included

A project is considered delivered when the agreed work has been made reasonably available for review, use or launch.

18. Reasons a timeline may change

The estimated delivery date may change because of:

  • Late content
  • Late feedback
  • Missing images
  • Missing access credentials
  • Additional pages
  • Additional add-ons
  • Extra revision rounds
  • Major changes in direction
  • New technical requirements
  • Payment delays
  • Domain or DNS delays
  • Third-party problems
  • Illness or emergencies
  • Events outside Frost Byte’s reasonable control

Frost Byte will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably possible.

19. Missed agreed deadlines

If Frost Byte expects to materially miss a deadline that was specifically accepted in writing, we will:

  • Notify you
  • Explain the cause
  • Provide a revised estimate
  • Discuss reasonable next steps

Any cancellation or refund request will be assessed under the Cancellation Policy, Refund Policy and applicable law.

20. After launch

After launch, the services included in your subscription may continue.

Depending on your selected tier and add-ons, this may include:

Ongoing work

  • Hosting
  • Maintenance
  • Security updates
  • Content changes
  • Technical support
  • Analytics
  • Reporting
  • Performance improvements
  • Additional design or development work

New work will be scheduled according to your subscription and Frost Byte’s current workload.
